Yoga for your beauty

I always receive compliments from people for my good skin. And the credit 100 percent goes to yoga. I am a yoga instructor and regular yoga practitioner. Yoga is not only asanas; it is a complete lifestyle in itself.

Yoga teaches us how to breathe, to eat, to sit, to relax. Stress levels around the world are on the rise. In order to deal with this, relaxation and stress reduction therapies have sprung up from everywhere.

Yoga instruction is no longer just a fringe population idea. It is now a mainstream fitness methodology. If practiced regularly, Yoga asanas help men and women to acquire a figure that enhances their beauty and gives them flexibility. Beauty coupled with flexibility gives them charm and elegance in every body movement.

Yoga helps in slowing down the aging process by providing elasticity to the spine, firming up the skin, removing tension from the body, strengthening the abdominal muscles, eliminating the likelihood of a double chin, improving the quality of loose arm muscles, correcting poor posture and so on.

I believe in making Yoga a simple day to day part of daily routine, of course, start with simple asanas.

Yogic breathing exercises or pranayama stimulate the central nervous system and strengthen the immune system. In combination with asanas, pranayama facilitates the development of body awareness, balance, memory and concentration. So here are some asanas and pranayama:

  • Suryanamaskar is combined process of yoga asana and breathing. It reduces abdominal fat, gives flexibility to the spine and limbs and increases the breathing capacity.

  • Simhasana is very good for facial muscles. To make the face beautiful and removing the wrinkles thereon it is necessary to make different posture of face before the mirror.

  • Trikonasana is very good for waistline.

  • Padahastasana helps you keep a toned stomach.

  • Chakki chalana tones the stomach and strengthens the arm muscles.

  • Naukasana tones up the abdominal muscles.

  • Vajrasana is very good for digestion, gastric ailments.

  • Matsyasana helps in reducing extra fat on neck and hydrates the skin.

  • With the practice of Paschimottanasana and Janushirshasana waist becomes thin and shapely. Those who have heavy lower back must practice it regularly.

  • Chakrasana can make one get over old age.

  • Halasana and Sarvangasana combats graying and falling hair also adding a youthful healthy glow to the face.

With asana one should also practice Shatkarm Kriya Kapalbhati, Pranayama Nadi Shodhan, Bhramari and Bandhas.
